Heights Plumbing & Heating Inc. has been serving New Mexico’s Mechanical Contracting needs since 1935. We are a family owned and operated business with over 75 years of experience.
Charles Phillips took over ownership of Heights Plumbing in the early 1950’s. In his time running our company, Charlie built a strong foundation for a Commercial Mechanical Contracting Company that is still operating at a high level today. Charlie Phillips introduced his two sons to the business at an early age. Wayne and Clyde showed they had a strong work ethic and commitment to Quality and Customer service, proving to Charlie that his sons were the perfect fit to transition his company to the next generation.
Wayne became President in 1977 and Clyde Vice President. In their time at the helm, Heights Plumbing & Heating expanded their scope of Mechanical Contracting to include: Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Utilities, HDPE Fusion, and Rain Water Harvesting.
On July 4th, 2013 another transition was completed when Wayne officially retired and Ben, his youngest son, became President. Ben’s wife Erin became Vice President. Ben and Erin continue to utilize the knowledge that Wayne and Clyde have taught them, which was passed on to them from their Father Charlie.
With the explosion of the Green building (tradition) phenomena, we find the Water Harvesting option to be a very useful resource here in the Southwest where water is a precious resource. We have installed Rain Harvesting Systems that range in size from 2 – 2,500 gallon above ground storage tanks, a 10,000 gallon underground fiberglass tank, and The Atlantis Rain Tank system which was comprised of 200 quad tanks for a total volume of 25,000 gallons.
Another aspect of the Green building process we can perform is Geo Thermal Piping Systems. This process utilizes the thermal energy generated and stored in the earth to efficiently heat or cool a building. This process has been around for decades, but it is just now starting to become more widely used on larger scale projects.
At Heights our focus is not on one specific scope of work. We can accomplish a wide variety of Mechanical Contracting needs. Every year at Heights, we install several miles of piping, types ranging from Copper Tubing to Cast Iron, HDPE fusion weld to Acid Resistant Solvent Weld. We have a vast knowledge and considerable experience in all aspects of Mechanical Contracting.
